Practices to promote academic integrity in your course
- Define appropriate use of resources at the beginning of the course. Restate these expectations as exams and assignments come due.
- Include the recommended syllabus insertion regarding scholastic dishonesty.
- Explicitly state expectations for collaboration and group work.
- Change exams routinely and reorder exam questions.
- Proctor exams carefully and closely monitor makeup test arrangements.
- Discuss the importance of academic integrity with students. Case studies and discussion starters can help guide classroom discussions.

Reporting Scholastic Dishonesty
One way of supporting academic integrity is to consistently report scholastic dishonesty as it occurs. University policy requires instructors to report student scholastic dishonesty to the Office for Student Conduct and Academic Integrity.
